United Painting Foundation

“United Painting profiles itself as a growing movement of creative activism who embraces everyone who loves to participate”

— ‘Muurschildering in de oosttunnel’ Spoorbeeld, 2022

Our Mission

In a world that seems to polarise further with every passing day, United Painting is persisted in be a dissenting voice. The Foundation’s purpose is to make, carry out and stimulate eye-catching artistic interventions in places and spaces where communities are excluded from society and social interaction. The art and the method of creation serve as a countermovement to oppression and exclusion.

We achieve this by:
- using collaborative creation processes as a medium to connect and collaborate with local communities
- doing these artistic interventions not only in private spaces such as refugee camps, but also in semi-public and public spaces as a meanings to call attention to a specific topic that is relevant at that moment
- contributing to strengthening a feeling of empowerment of excluded communities
- inspiring people to enhance their physical and social environments

The Foundation does not aim to make profit.

Our values

These images and slogans represent a few of our core beliefs and values, which we try to include into our projects and our general operations. We don't own any of them and if you feel infringed upon in any way, let us know and we'll delete..

our organization

We are a small organisation by choice. Low overhead keeps us flexible, so we can focus on the quality of our projects instead of the growth of our organisation. We hold office at our larger projects, otherwise work remotely and keep a storage facility for our materials.

United Painting is a non profit foundation under dutch law and registered at the dutch chamber of commerce. We have been designated a ‘Public Benefit Organisation (ANBI status) by the Dutch Tax Administration.
